TAUNG DLTC FULLY OPERATIONAL AFTER NETWORK GLITCH.

The Taung Driving Licence Testing Centre (DLTC) is back fully operational after network glitch earlier this month. The challenges were caused by cable theft which affected other businesses in the vicinity.

“We are happy to announce that the Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) acted speedily and installed rooter to enable the center to access WiFi network and process all applications. We want to profusely thank the communities we serve for their patience," says Zenzile Mtshengu, the Provincial Traffic District Manager for Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati.

MEC for the Department of Community Safety and Transport Management, Sello Lehari is grateful for the patience of the community members some of whom had complained directly to his office.

“I am glad that this centre is back fully operational. Though we understand that challenges will be there from time to time, we should try at all times to ensure communities are not adversely affected. In this case they have and we appreciate their patience and understanding," said MEC Lehari.

Mr Mtshengu indicated that the network outage has set them back but so far since it was restored following RTMC’s intervention, they have been able to assist everyone who had come to DLTC.

“The network outage has affected us but we have been able to catch up. We even had people coming to the centre with home addresses indicating sister Provinces of Northern Cape and Free State," said Mr Mtshengu.

He had implored on all people who come to the center to exercise patience and to comply with COVID-19 guidelines of wearing masks, sanitizing and keeping social distance.
